Safety centre
Your safety is not a footnote.
Meeting someone new should feel exciting, not reckless. Here is how Kindered is built to keep you in control — and what to do before you meet in person.
How we think about safety
Not a single toggle — habits across swipe, chat, and meet-up.
Profiles you can weigh up
Trust before you swipe.
Photos are reviewed before they go live. Distance is shown in wide bands — not your doorstep. Demo and seed profiles are labelled in testing; real members are real accounts.
Chat with boundaries
Respect is not optional.
Nudity and sexual images are not allowed in messages. If someone crosses a line, report them — you do not owe them a debate. Underage reports are prioritised.
Leave anytime
You are in control.
Block, unmatch, or hide a chat from your inbox. Report scams and fake profiles — we hide repeat offenders from Discover. The other person is not notified with a speech about why.
Meet on your terms
IRL with a plan.
Public first dates, your own ride, and a friend who knows where you are. We publish practical guides for Indian cities because traffic and safety norms matter here.
Before you meet in person
A short checklist — especially for first dates in Indian cities.
- Stay on Kindered while you are still getting a read. Quick jumps to WhatsApp or Telegram are a common scam pattern.
- Pick a public place with people around — a café, a mall food court, a busy park in daylight.
- Tell a friend who you are meeting, where, and when you expect to check in.
- Keep your phone charged and your own way home sorted before you go.
- Video-call once if photos feel too perfect or the story does not add up.
- If your gut says leave, leave. You can block or report after you are safe.
Worth remembering
Nobody real needs your money. Customs fees, medical emergencies, crypto “opportunities,” and UPI requests from someone you have not met are scams. Kindered will never ask you to pay another member.
Consent is ongoing. You can change your mind about a date, a chat, or how far things go — at any time. That is normal, not rude.
Trans and non-binary people belong here. Harassment or outing someone is a reportable offence on Kindered and may be illegal where you live.

In the app, use report and block on any profile or chat. Reports about someone who may be under 18 are reviewed first.
