How to write a dating profile that sounds like you

A short, honest profile beats a list of demands. What to put in your bio and photos on Kindered.

Most profiles fail for the same reason: they are a CV. Job title, gym schedule, “no time-wasters.” People skim that and feel nothing. A good profile is three things only — who you are, what a Sunday looks like, and who would have a good time with you.

Start with a first name and photos that are actually you, in daylight, with your face visible. Group shots as the first picture make people guess. Kindered will not show a profile in the deck until a photo has been approved, so use pictures you are willing to stand behind.

Write the bio in full sentences. “I like travel and food” is what everyone likes. “I will walk across a city to find a better filter coffee” is a person. One specific is worth ten adjectives.

Say what you want without a manifesto. “Looking for something that could last” is enough. A paragraph about everyone you have dated is a warning, not a filter.

Leave caste, salary, and “only certain communities” off Kindered. We are a dating product, not a biodata form. If that is a hard requirement for you, Shaadi exists — this app will feel wrong.

Proofread once. A typo is human. A bio that insults women, trans people, or “females” will get you reported. Kindered is for adults who want a relationship, including trans and non-binary people. If that bothers you, do not join.

When you are stuck, delete half of what you wrote. Short and specific beats long and generic every time.
